it’s awesome that ppl from kaba and quest are in the movie. not so sure about the plot tho. do all dancers in the future need to be augmented w/ superpowers and inherit the gene for blue eyes? really?
but regardless, this could be a pretty big deal. i mean, sure it might be reminicent of a bboy exploitation film from the 80s, but it’s got nationally recognized asians as a very prominent part of the cast and talent. and they aren’t all doing martial arts! and they aren’t gangsters! and they aren’t geeks/nerds! and they speak english! has hollywood lost it’s freakin mind?
it’s apparently billed as a hip-hop westside story. so i’m wondering… exactly how is the riff/mercutio character gonna get killed? i mean is the bernardo/tybalt character gonna dance him to death? lol.

interesting. what i found most peculiar about the trailer is that the asian girl who makes out with someone in it is brenda song, a big disney star who has only done disney things geared towards a younger audience up until now. ha
