ABDC starts back up again this august. u can see in the trailer that they’re really trying to broaden the styles featured and are auditioning a lot of groups whose style isn’t really hip-hop. that may mean fewer west coast and texas teams composed primarily of asians. if the contestants that make it to the show really do have fewer asians among them, i wonder if it was a conscious decision by studio execs. they’re also moving to sunday for some reason. not sure if that’s a good or bad thing.
