there’s a weekly talk show that features 20 foreign women living and working in korea. they usually have them talking to a few korean celebs, but recently, they brought in 7 foreign guys. the talk ranged from foreign guys having an easier time picking up korean women to getting into universities. the foreign men and women feature ppl from east and west, so u really get a more diverse perspective. check it out if u have some time to kill.

some of u may have already seen augmented reality on the iphone in the form of yelp!, which overlays data on top of a camera picture. however the limitations of that are obvious as the program does no analysis of the data within the videostream.

well, get ready for a change. some enterprising ppl have figured out the API concerning iphone video and promise to release it to the public.

It’s an all over workout.

an online dating site decided to go through their own dating data and see how race affected dating. and of course, anytime data such as this is posted, it’s gonna make some group (or all of them) look racist and/or pathetic.

the data held something that ran counter to my expectations: black women responded more to every race of message sender than any other female groups. that surprised me b/c i had always thought they wanted to date black men. that apparently isn’t true as the data shows something a little sadder…

it was a pretty parade, but i mean really… china, get w/ the fucking times. stuff like this makes it look to the world like you’re still stuck in the 1950s. except for the girls in red. just cut the midriff out of those costumes and whoa, i could watch that all day.

BRIDGEWATER, S.D. – Behind the freezer doors at a meat plant mysteriously abandoned by its owner, the 44 tons of bison meat managed to hold its own for months, masked by the brutal chill of two South Dakota winters.

Once the power was cut and spring thaw arrived, nature took over. And enough rotting meat to fill a high school gym did exactly what you’d expect: It stank.

It stank at the bank. It smelled at the lawoffice. It reeked at the cafe. Even the jewelry store wasn’t immune. Everyone in this tiny town could smell it, everywhere they went. A putrid odor so downright nasty the cleaners sent to mop up the gooey mess of liquefied meat — topped by a blanket of swarming white maggots and buzzed by a legion of flies — gave up after two days.
