After a few weeks of just focusing on classes, I realize that I just can’t not think about the projects that I’ve been developing in recent years.  I’ve started writing again, playing music again, etc.  Basically, I’ve hopped back onto the wandering thought train one more time!

for the sf nuts who can’t get enuf, here u go. scaled down sf4 for the iphone is coming out and will feature bluetooth pvp. that’s just awesome. anyways, i’m just wondering if they’ll make an iphone adaptor for my madcatz stick.

having said that, i tried sf2 on my previous phone w/ a keypad and the controls were extremely clunky. not sure how far touch screen will go in remedying that issue. it may be easier to get the moves off, but i can’t imagine that it’ll be easy to see what’s going on w/ ur fingers in the way.

What the hell is going on over here? Snow is making ppl crazy. Rumors of 10 ppl being taken to the hospital from the UAH shooting. this is the 2nd school shooting in two weeks. the first one happened at a middle school.

Update: 3 dead. Shooter was a faculty member who may have been denied tenure this morning. Victims all faculty.

so i missed season 4, but i heard it wasn’t anything special. season 5 is here however and this crew caught my eye. these guys were hilarious and won the west coast regionals.

LONDON (Reuters) – Intelligence comes second only to smoking as a predictor of heart disease, scientists said on Wednesday, suggesting public health campaigns may need to be designed for people with lower IQs if they are to work.

Research by Britain’s Medical Research Council (MRC) found that lower intelligence quotient (IQ) scores were associated with higher rates of heart disease and death, and were more important indicators than any other risk factors except smoking.

the less intelligent u are, the less likely u are to understand that eating healthy and working out help u live longer. but being sickly also probably lowers ur IQ. there’s also the factor of future time orientation. ppl w/ lower IQ tend to have lower future time orientation and so even if u understand the risk factors, u don’t have the willpower to defer gratification.

i thought this line was the best however:

“Public health campaigns should focus on early life factors that have been shown to influence IQ levels and tackle social inequalities,” she said in a comment on the study.

“At the same time, the public health messages for known risk factors such as diet may need to be simplified.”

hahaha! ouch… b/c obviously it doesn’t already make enough sense that unhealthy eating and not working out lead to health problems.

i hate to sound like rush limbaugh, but there is certainly a part of me that is callous to the suffering going on in haiti. haiti has been a basketcase for it’s entire history after independence, except for the times it has been occupied/controlled by outside powers. it’s people eat dirt cookies on a regular basis.

if our purpose is to take over the country, we’d be supporting people like this:
