I immediately thought of 尸zed after reading this. The penalty for not wearing a seatbelt is around 50 yuan, the same price as this shirt. Won’t do you much good in the event of an accident, but at least you’re sticking it to the man.

Trulia, a housing search site has maps that overlay schools, crime and amenities has just gotten better. It now provides commute times. Although interesting, the estimator for my city overestimates commutes significantly. YMMV, obviously.

The automaker has announced this week that it will be investing more than $2 billion to upgrade the plant, with part of the money already spent to install equipment for the new 2012 Mercedes-Benz M-Class. The money will also go to install equipment for the next-generation GL-Class as well as expanding capacity.

Not sure how I feel about this, but it certainly looks like it would work. In short, a speeding camera takes pics of everyone who passes by. Those who are speeding are fined, and the money collected (minus the house cut) is randomly distributed among the non-speeders.
