Episode 2 is out and promises to be more … reality showish.

The long wait is over. HERE WE GO BABY.

So I just watched it and … hmm. Not what I was expecting. They dropped Peter Le (probably because he was gay) and Jennifer Field (maybe she found a better gig). Where was the hair pulling and scratching? Where were the drunken orgies? The debauchery, humiliation and shame? These people seemed *gasp* almost normal. One of them is just got engaged to his girlfriend of 5 years. Uh… hmm.

Can’t wait for the godawful awesomeness.

1. Tyrese tweeted this msg yesterday: “Ladies and Gentleman proud to say we just closed our K-Town Deal!! Who and what is K-town?? I’m glad you asked standby..” So K-town is going to happen. Let the debauchery, histrionics and shamelessness begin!

3. Steve Sailer put up a graph of how the 4 major US ethnic groups did on PISA compared to the rest of the world. Asian Americans outscore every nation, but are still behind the Shanghai kids.

the ktown reality show cast has been revealed, and it’s 8 ppl w/ and even mix of guys and girls.  i must say the cast does appear to be following ktown conventions in style, except for the white haired jasmine. here are their names: Young Lee, Jennifer Field, Joe Cha, Scarlet Chan, Violet Kim, Peter Le, Steve Kim, and Jasmine Chang.

the contestants looked full blood asian to me except the obvious jennifer field. i looked her up and she’s a half korean beauty queen. well, i suppose that figures… she’s gorgeous. scarlet chan is also some sort of entertainment industry wannabe from the appearance of her twitter. i can’t tell what violet does, but it couldn’t be very time-consuming considering how much she blogs. jasmine, whose hair sets her apart, is of course a hairdresser. peter le is… something i wish had not come up. go to peterfever.com if u really want to know. i don’t even want to know what the other guys do after looking peter up. the show’s official twitter is here.

i must not have much of an idea of what k-town life is like. i thought the asian american reality show couldn’t be devastatingly embarrassing. but after seeing this, i’m wondering if there’s reason to reconsider.

i’m tuning in either way.
